Why many organisations are moving straight to API integration with VerifyBiz

This reflects how many organisations want account verification to operate as part of their existing work and data flows, rather than as a separate, manual step.

Why API integration is the preferred starting point

For many pilot organisations, the value of VerifyBiz lies in its ability to be embedded into day-to-day operations. API integration allows them to:

  • Integrate account checks into customer-facing or internal workflows
  • Automate verification steps within existing processes and systems
  • Apply controls based on their organisation’s risk appetite. For example:

    • Preventing data from being saved if the result is a ‘No Match’
    • Requiring manual review for specific check outcomes
  • Build reporting into their own systems to support audit, monitoring, and operational oversight

These settings can be tailored to align with each organisation’s processes, compliance obligations, and governance requirements.

Where the URL-based portal adds value

While API integration is the starting point for many of our pilot participants, some organisations are intentionally beginning with the URL-based VerifyBiz Portal.

The Portal requires no system integration and can be available in as little as two working days. It is being used by a smaller number of organisations to:

  • Access account verification checks quickly
  • Explore how account verification may fit into existing processes
  • Test real scenarios across different business units with minimal operational change

This approach provides a contained way to explore account verification in practice.

Bridging portal and API use

For organisations integrating VerifyBiz via API, access to the Portal is also provided for up to two users. This allows teams to carry out one-off checks or trial the functionality in different areas of the business, alongside automated workflows.

This approach helps organisations test, change-manage, and operationalise the service while integration is underway, without introducing separate tools or duplicating effort.

From entry point to embedded use

As organisations use the Portal, some gain clearer insight into where deeper integration may be valuable. For others, the Portal remains sufficient for their needs.

VerifyBiz has been designed to support both approaches, allowing organisations to start where it makes sense for them and evolve their use over time.

VerifyBiz will be available to organisations via a managed onboarding process from early 2026. Get in touch to find out more
